Freedom of the Seas Part 2: Breakfast & Lunch

This post will be on breakfast and lunch in the main dining room on the Freedom of the Seas.
The main dining room is made up of three levels: Leonardo, Galileo, and Issac that all serve the same food during dinner time.

Leonardo is the only dining room that is open for breakfast and lunch.
In the dining room there is full service dining. For breakfast and lunch servers help any guest whereas for dinner servers help the same guests every night. More on the dinner service set up in the dinner post.

Breakfast
The tables by the windows have magnificent views especially when the ship is at sea. Wherever you look, there is only water and blue skies that seem to blend together. Since the Freedom of the Seas is such a large ship it was stable so I did not feel any significant rocking.

I had breakfast two times at Leonardo and it is a nice, relaxing experience compared to Windjammer buffet because there is no line up. The food is definitely made better, too. You can choose from pancakes, waffles, eggs, oatmeal, fresh fruit, salad and other breakfast foods. Fresh squeezed orange juice and coffee like latte is additional charge.

Lunch
Lunch at Leonardo is an equally great experience. The windows let in so much light from the Caribbean sun and it is not crowded because most people find eating lunch in the dining room too time consuming from their sun tanning or other activities on the ship.

There is a choice for a 30 minute lunch if you're crunched for time. Just let your server know and they will make sure the food is out as soon as possible so you can finish your lunch fast.
Lunch items include dishes like pasta, fish, burgers, and of course desserts! There is a buffet salad bar where you can choose the items in your salad and chefs will toss them for you. The salad bar had a superb variety of greens and toppings like grilled eggplant, tuna, salmon, vegetables, cheese, dressings, etc.

The food is so delicious. Let the pictures speak for themselves, if it looks good to you then you should know that it IS!

If you're on this cruise you will easily be overwhelmed with the list of activities you want to do during the day. However, I really suggest to assign time aside for lunch at Leonardo instead of a quick fix at Windjammer. Service, food, ambiance here is the best! Honestly I like the atmosphere in the dining room better at lunch than dinner because it is less crowded.
